After a chance meeting at the airport in Cape Verde, Joao and Krista had an instant connection. Once engaged, they set their sights on the place where they met as the location for their destination wedding. His family is from Cape Verde and she was there serving in the Peace Corps, so the destination held special meaning for both. The volcanic island served as the most captivating backdrop, with the couple taking to the streets, beach, and quiet outlooks of the island.
